Charles W. White
1946
Signed dated and inscribed "Mexico" lower right
Lithograph
11.5 x 7.5 in.
(29.21 x 19.05 cm.)
These Charles W. White originals have been in my family for 50 years or more. We believe they were given to my father by Charles White himself in the late 1940s or early 50s. The 1946 date indicates that these works are from the period when Charles White was studying and working with Diego Rivera.
Oliver B. Johnson
c. late 1960s
Acrylic on canvas board
17 x 13.5 in.
(43.18 x 34.29 cm.)
My parents, lifelong patrons of the arts, met Oliver Johnson and purchased his acrylic painting Kim at a community art show they organized in Riverview Towers, New York.
Oliver Johnson's work hangs in major collections in the United States and Europe, in the private collections of George Wein and Bill Cosby, among others.
